About

Launched in 2021 by fashion industry veteran Rebecca Chamberlain, Brooklyn-based label Chamberlain R E G E N E R A T E D is known for its signature takes on women’s shirting, denim, jackets, trousers, and outerwear, all reworked from high-quality vintage and pristine unworn goods.

Chamberlain R E G E N E R A T E D merges masculine and feminine elements into timeless, one-of-a-kind pieces you will reach for first. Working primarily from menswear, Chamberlain transforms garments by expertly draping, folding, and gathering fabric, repositioning buttons and cuffs, adjusting volumes, and shortening lengths to achieve sculptural, distinctive silhouettes that are strikingly original and beautifully flattering.

Chamberlain’s elegant, wearable designs are informed by decades of fashion industry experience and tailoring expertise, as well as her deep knowledge of modern art and architecture.

All R E G E N E R A T E D garments are made locally and sustainably. As the source material for her small collections, Chamberlain prioritizes the abundance of available materials that might otherwise go to waste, expertly selecting goods from estate sales, vintage shops, and military surplus dealers.

R E G E N E R A T E D is the recalibration we need. No mandatory seasonal cycles. No engineered obsolescence. No arbitrary categorizations. Just well-made, distinctive designs that you will want to wear right now.

More about Rebecca Chamberlain
Trained as a visual artist, Rebecca Chamberlain graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and began her career in the New York fashion industry with the creation of Elbridge, a line of modern, softly tailored separates. In 1999, she was tapped by Old Navy to expand its men’s knitwear collections, and played a key role on the team that launched Uniqlo’s first New York office. Her successes with those global brands made Chamberlain a sought-after designer and creative consultant, and throughout the 2000s she worked with a range of labels including Lou & Grey, La Vie Rebecca Taylor, Cole Haan, and Coach, and developed collections in close collaboration with independent designers such as Gary Graham and Marcia Patmos. By 2020, Chamberlain was eager to redirect a wealth of industry knowledge and creativity to developing her own project. The following year, she launched REGENERATED, a label that strives to balance reuse and refinement, preservation and transformation, and the past with our current moment. Chamberlain lives and works in Brooklyn and Delhi, New York.

THE R E G E N E R A T E D PHILOSOPHY:

Consider what you’re wearing. We do.

Refrain from buying new.

Make it new to you.
